Definitely, the train is eastbound on Main 3, having just gone over the Brainerd Ave. grade crossing.  Looks like you took the picture from the now gone pedestrian crossing in front of the Stone Ave. station. What really strikes me, is the lead unit, an Alco Century 424. Not aware of many Alcos on the east end until an occassional NP or SP&S Alco would appear after the BN merger. Judging by the brake shoe smoke, it looks like he was slowing for a Congress Park setout.  Trailing the C-424 are 3 UP GP30s; two cabless or "B" units and a cabbed, or "A" unit; 9,150 horsepower - nice consist.
