Archie,
I received an email from the seller stating that she received 25 emails
aboout that calendar. She further claimed that 3 emails stated that the
calendar was "reproduced" by the Q in 1960 as a promotional item, and
therefore it "could be legit". The other 22 emails questioned it as an
original. so Of course we know it is a fake, as you noted below. The fonts
used on all the months of ALL the calendars are exactly the same!
There is another listed under Burlington by another "private" seller which
is a C&O fake and again, the fonts for the months are the same, it too is
"1944" with Sat being the 1st of Jan!
Based on the increased number of fake "antiques" being made today, I would
warn everyone to better know what you are buying and know who you are buying
from. Stay away from any ebay seller that is listed as "private", what do
they have to hide from?
