Perhaps the way to get a "Hill lines" general meet together is to 
have "mini-meets" involving geographically close members.  I know 
that the folks in the AT&SF group have a variety of geographical 
meets (Northwest, midwest, New York, etc.).  They don't have to be 
formal (in terms of general national membership and full scale 
"conventions").  Just invite people in the same geographical area to 
a regional meeting.

Once there exists some mutual societal relationships, then getting 
the larger one together should be much easier.
