CB&Q had cab signals from the west end of the Union Avenue interlocking at MP 2.13 to the west end of the Aurora interlocking at MP 38.63 (on the Galesburg mains) and from the beginning of the Savanna Main at MP 38.44 Aurora to the east end of Savanna Tower interlocking at MP 143.51.

There were also some Cab Signal test circuits at Galesburg somewhere just west of the depot, perhaps on both Ottumwa and Quincy mains.  Reference is made to the test circuits in Special Instructions for both of these lines.  Activation of the cab signal on eastward passenger trains enroute to Chicago was required approaching Galesburg.  I once asked a former CB&Q Mechanical officer about these special instructions, and he indicated that the instructions were in reference to the test circuits, but he did not know exactly where they were.

To add to this question, were cab signals used anywhere else beyond the east end?
