The floor height of the baggage cart is not "built up".... the platform is just a thicker construction or has sheathing on the sides. The height is normal... look at the relationship of the top of the deck to the top of the wheels... If anything, the rail to floor height of the articulated Zephyr Baggage Cars would be lower, not higher, and the prewar and postwar regular Budd Cars would have a height compatible with havyweight cars. Charlie Vlk Of special note the baggage cart has been built up about an extra foot in height to reach the baggage coach door. Were Zephyr doors higher than regular heavyweight doors?
