All, During the Viet Nam era, I was 2 times a drill sergeant at Ft. Ord. During our cycle breaks we had the honor of escorting bodies, some by rail, the protesters were full in force at some of the sites. One sticks out in my mind was to Tennesse back in the woods. The father met me with a shotgun, told me when the body came off the train I could leave. The Veterans Assistance Officer was in the background shaking his head yes. So, I got out of there as quick as possible. Military had their own set of rules and they were all followed by the railroad company involved.
