Yes, I made arrangements to get the drawings from the people that were in charge of operating the car for the BNSF. One of the drawings had been modified to show the extensions on the rear gate for crossing from the open platform when the car was in train and I had to carefully eliminate them before sending the drawings to Japan to prevent them from building the last version of the car. Easier to add those details than remove. The Round-Up is considerably different from the lightweight Burlington but we lettered it anyway. I always thought that The Round-UP was a very interesting car, being the only full Budd Corrugated Heavyweight that comes to my mind. The only other cars that were close were the Wabash Business Car conversions of heavyweight coaches using Pullman Standard exterior parts (i.e., AMTRAK 10000, etc.) but those were remodeled to look like production lightweight cars and rode on regular streamliner four wheel trucks. Charlie Vlk The Kato model is very accurate for BURLINGTON - I believe Charlie used Q plans for it. It would not be for The ROUND-UP. The height & profile different, the underbody very different, the structural body instead of a sheathed body would be telling, etc. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
