Found a photo of The Round-up on the Web.  It definitely has the full car 
length ridge above the letterboard which is what made me think it was a pre-war 
car.  I wonder why, when the car was refurbished in stainless steel in 1953, 
that ridge was included.

letterboard. I thought I saw a drawing where the Roundup had this feature, but 
I could be remembering incorrectly.

Incidentally. when built, the prewar cars also had gasketed windows and at 
least one such car on the FW&D retained them until the end.
