Dear Mr. Vlk,
Thank-you for your opinion. I am open to everyone's opinion.
Just so it is clear, my questions are not about Mr. Wagner's ability
to edit a publication. The questions raised are about ownership,
control, loss of control and protection of BRHS property that the BRHS
may or may not own, or have under their direct control. And it appears
that Mr. Wagner is a paid employee of the BRHS. So it is a bit more
than his gracious service.
Someone owes everyone an explanantion on the operation of the BRHS. If
these collections are owned by the BRHS as I believe they are, Hol
Wagner may not feel the need to explain how these events transpired,
then the BRHS has an obligation to let everyone know how they are
protected and have a clear policy for their use.
I have documents that on one occasion Wagner claims to be the
"caretaker of the Corbin collection." Six months later he states he
was "willed the collection." Which is it? Caretaker or owner? Family
statements suggest that the BRHS was destined to have the collection
to be shared by everyone. Just the way Corbin shared everything he
enjoyed (including me) with others.
As far as "proving my worth" as Mr. Vlk suggests, I don't need to run
for office or have a position. I am at an age I don't need to prove
anything to anyone. I really don't care if no one wants to make it
better. I am going to get to the bottom of this iceberg. I have the
resources and inclination to see this to an end. I liked Bernie. He
was a friend from the first day I met him. I don't like seeing his
life long work commingled with someone else's personal property with
no accounting to what I perceive as the rightful owners. 16+ years is
long enough to inventory & catalog anyone's collection.
What I find troubling is that no one from the BRHS has offered any
explanation or answers.
