Hello,
I am posting this to have some of my questions answered. I received
permission to post from the list owner. It is not my desire for this
to turn into a mud-slinging never-ending series of posts.
Thanks.
Carl

PS I just read the post about the Corbin-Wagner question. I am
referring to the time after Corbin died and this credit appeared in
the Bulletin.

There was a post on the CBQ list requesting information about the
whereabouts of the Corbin Collection.

I've heard that it is in the Denver area. Where is it? Can we get
access to it? What hours are they available? How much do pictures
cost?

I've heard that it was given to the BRHS. Does the collection belong
to the BRHS? If this is true, why hasn't the BRHS taken possession of
their property? Is the collection in the BRHS archives?

I heard that the Corbin collection was taken by Hol Wagner, Al Hoffman
and Bat Masterson from the Corbin basement on the day on his funeral
and the 3 of them were thrown out of the house by family members
because of their outrageous behavior? And they were barred from
returning to get the rest.

I noticed in the Burlington Bulletins that some Corbin pictures are
credited to Corbin and some are credited to a Corbin-Wagner
collection. Is this the same Hol Wagner and did Wagner buy the
collection from the Corbin estate? If he didn't why does he claim
ownership.

I've also heard that Masterson accepted an extremely large collection
of material from Havelock on behalf of the BRHS. Where is it? Is it
available for research? Is it in the BRHS archives?

Do the officers of the BRHS know this? Have they done anything about
it?

If any of this is these stories are true, what is going on here?
Somebody tell me. It seems like some pretty underhanded shenanigans.

I've heard that there is a group of people working on this. Will
someone email me off list and tell me what this is all about.

And has anyone heard about when the next Bulletin is coming out?

Carl Elliott
