Get a copy of "GARDEN RAILWAYS" Kalmbach, next issue early Nov. I have heard of O Scale, but not HO, that don't mean it ain't or can't be done. "G" is your best bet I think. And there is CB&Q equip.

Well.. there are a LOT of garden railways with a C&S theme, but that doesn't sound like what you want. What location are you in - that as much as anything else really influences how the "garden" part

The most confusing aspect, should you go larger than O is scale. There really is no "G" scale. And there certainly is no "Gn3" as Kalmbach has lead so many to think. !:32 is the proper scale for the
