I purchased a set of F3's, the box is numbered 135C & D, but the A unit is markered only 135, they forgot the "D". I also looked at the 135A/B box and the A unit also is missing the "A". I'm looking

Ray, If memory serves when the motors were delivered from EMD they carried no "A,B,C, or D" suffixes. These were added later. In Corbin's book "Burlington in Transition" ABBA Set of F3's # 132 carry

Yes, Aeolus3 is correct. However, since Athearn labeled each boxed set as "F3A/B 135A/B" and "F3A/B 135D/C", one would assume that the proper letter designator would appear on the model. As it is, th

Actually the full number and letter suffix is on each unit. If you look at the center of the sides with about 10x magnification you will see it. the Trust Plate is also clearly legible under the same
