Just about all major mail, word processing and internet browsers, free or pay for, will do the "Right Click > Save picture as...".

For those looking for mail reading software that does what Rob suggests, try Thunderbird by Mozilla Foundation. It's free and you can set up your email to be sorted into folders as it arrives.

Charlie,

If you want to capture on embedded image,  right click on it and select "Save image as...". This will bring up the usual Windows "Save as"  window. Then you just save to where want.

This way you save the picture in its sent resolution,  with no loss.
