[CBQ] Re: CB&Q photos from the '60's

I'll testify to LWS being a pretty good hand as a Dispatcher :>)  

One night in the late '70's, I went to work at Edgemont and Alvin, the 
Operator, told me to call the Dispatcher.  Well, at that time there wasn't a 
lot of idle conversation with the Dispatcher, unless you did something wrong.  
So I get Larry on the phone, and he says "Are you the Mike Decker with the 
photo collection?"  "Photo collection?" I said.  "Ya, the one with the 
Galloping Goose pictures in the RGS book."  "Oh, ya, I guess that's me, I got 
'em from Ed Randow, and Mal borrowed them for his book."

Turned out we both grew up around Chicago, and went on some of the same fan 
trips.  But Larry could get you over the road when some of the others couldn't
