Larry,  Fantastic photos, hiring out in 1966 I remember the CB&Q  power and depots just the way you captured them.  As for Bruce Turner, if I recall correctly, he was a train master at Lindenwood yard in St Louis in the early 80s after the merger.  Nice guy who didn't hassle the troops much.  Thanks again for sharing.  Archie

I'm a retired BNSF train dispatcher and lifelong railfan who grew up near Chicago and spent some time trackside in the '60's photographing trains in the area, many along the Burlington. With some new-found time on my hands I've been scanning in some of the slides that I've unearthed, along with current efforts as well, and I thought the group might find at least some of them to be of interest. The gallery is arranged in (somewhat) chronological order, starting around 1964, but no particular order as to railroad.
