OK, I dug it out.  It was in Hol's Expo. Flyer.  Fred Lehmann, Q photographer took it on May 24, 1944.

Dave and list,  I have this series of photos and they came from Bat Masterson.  Somehow as I recall they were taken by a Walter Leamon who was a Burlington Photagrapher I think.  I have seen a date for them also. Sping of 47 or so.  I sent them to the fellow doing the TRRA article on the Zephyr Rocket.  Maybe Hol told me this info or Phil.  My mind just can't place it right now.

The train in the attached scan was the Expo Flyer on a detour move due to flooding.  Kalmbach does not date, nor identify the photographer.

That might have been the Zephyr Rocket.  It was still crossing over to Illinois until the early fifties.

What other trains might it have been?

Kalmbach put out a Burlington photo album in the late 40's or early 50's showing the Quincy yards with a Q passenger train behind E-5's coming off of the old bridge and showing the "bay" bridge. BTW, I know a man, who as a teenager, rode his pony across the bay bridge!
