In taking a look at the GNRHS website, it looks as if they have recently become
more lax with their information. While you still cannot purchase the primary
publication itself, the equivalent of articles are available for purchase, so
the info you would be missing is information directly related to society
operations and events. Everything is available to purchase in their company
store except mugs and pins made especially for their conventions. I also do
not see anything prohibiting non-members from attending their meetings. It
does appear that the GNRHS and NPRHA do coordinate. They have had joint meets
in the past and look to schedule their meets so that they do not overlap and
are within reasonable distance from each other as one usually starts the day
after the previous one. I respect your view on the matter here, but what does
the BRHS have to lose by asking?

I'm not saying anything about publishing - just
that they guard their information very closely
and don't allow non-member to purchase it - if
they can't purchase their publications, I doubt
they will be any freer with any kind of sessions,
company store or anything else - which would make
the jointness of a joint meeting rather moot.
