True but not entirely accurate.... the fill-in equipment did include ex-C&NW
cars but they were (by that time) BN cars from GN, NP and CB&Q. All three
roads got ex-400 coaches from the C&NW and the cars were originally painted up
in full smoothside colors for each road.... I don't recall if any of them made
it into full BN paint but by the time of the conversion of the bilevels to HEP
they would have at least had BN numbers and initials.
It was a very elegant way to travel from Lisle into the loop.....sitting in a
parlor chair instead of a walkover bench!!!

During the rebuilding of the cars from steam to HEP one train the last out of
Aurora and the first in was all single deck GN, CNW, any other road that got
rid of single deck coaches.
