Yes, the morning moves were the reverse of the evening with the cars brought
up by the switch crew and the units coming up seperately from the Rdhse.
Don't forget much the same operation was going on in the hill yard for the
trains that left from there w/o going to the depot. There were two "herders
jobs"
at the Aurora Rdhse/Hill Yd who threw switches and guided the engines to and
from the house. These one person jobs were previously discussed at length in
the group.
It was in the late 60's one morning at the depot that a member of the
mechanical force lost his life during the coupling of an engine to a set of
coaches. As the story was related to me that morning the couplers didn't line
up
and he had given the sign to tie the engine onto the cars when he realized the
joint wasn't going to make so he kicked the coupler,missed and fell into the
path of the engine.
