I should also point out though, as I did in my other post - they will look
compatible - except the Walthers cars won't have the detail - especially
the underbody detail - that the Branchline cars would have. And, if you
put the two side by side, and they are of, say the same 12-1, the
difference would be very obvious. Meaning either you don't care about it
(and that's fine, after all, it's like a lot of people with brake and under
body detail, (the perception is) you rarely see it on most railroads and
it's your railroad), or you upgrade the Walthers (or downgrade the Branchline).
