So does anyone know which of the Walthers cars are correct for the CB&Q?
Or if the 12-1 sleeper is correct as it is the only one released yet?

With the Walthers cars, you will have to take the effort to ensure that the 
paint scheme and trucks (and other details) are accurate for the car.  That 
isn't the case with the Branchline models.  Walthers cars are being sold 
with names (in decals) that do not match the cars as modeled and include 
"fantasy" schemes - so it is incumbent upon the modeler to ensure he/she is 
making the right choice (assuming it is important to that individual).
