Here's story from a BN brakeman working in Nebraska not long after
the merger.
This guy was the head brakeman on train using F unit's. (Could have
even been F45's as this guy was just a RR'er not a foamer.) He got
up on every curve and went to the proper side of locomotive and stuck
his head out the window to look back. As they approached the crew
change point the train came around a long curve to the right. The
brakeman was busy packing his grip and getting ready to get off when
the hogger dressed him down for nor looking back at the train. This
poor guy couldn't win for losing!
