- I have read that in the late 1960's the CB&Q units ran from Chicago to Havre Montana and back. Not sure if GN units ran from St Paul to Chicago. Travis Mahan

- I agree with others. During the Q era, I never saw or heard of any reports of GN passenger power on the Q east of the Twin Cities. I did see and photograph GN freight power on the Q in the late 1960s

- Tom, New Q power was shipped the same way except they were hauled dead in train to Lincoln where they were excepted and placed in service. I believe Santa Fe pulled their new power to Ft. Madison, IA
