Bill, When new GN EMD power was shipped to Minneapolis do you recall if the locomotives were shipped as part of the locomotive consist or in the train? I have seen photo/video confirmation of new GN BSB U33C's being delivered via the Q and being the last units in the locomotive consist, but the earlier NP units (U25C's or U28C's) I have seen photos of being delivered were at the rear of the train back near the caboose and with a car in between each unit. Did the GN EMD's travel "up front" with the Q power? If so it gives late 60's Q modelers the opportunity to buy new Genesis GN F45's and SDP40's and run them up front with the Q power, albeit as trailing units. Tom Mack Cincinnati, OH |
