Silver Rapids was a CZ car..... part of the CZ Pool. Foreign Sleepers I've seen shots of in the CZ consist, NYC, PRR, IC, SP, UP, C&O, GN (although not enough of the train to see if it was a GN Pullm

In looking at notes from the consortium regarding off-line / foreign cars, there was a distinct hierarchy for preferences. First off, one of the more common foreign cars found were the "flower" cars

Also with the 1952 equipment order from Budd, the two 10-6's that were bought for the CZ, Silver Chasm and Silver Craig for some reason lacked the 3 extra windows on the bedroom isle. These two 10-6'

The "one PRR car" is the 10-6 SILVER RAPIDS - but that was bought as part of the original consortium purchase, and until the end of the transcon deal (in 57-58) it should not be considered a foreign

Volume 5 Number 2 of The Prospector had numerous photos of foreign sleepers (and consists) of foreign road sleepers on the CZ. (www.drgw.org). There is also a table of appropriate models for the cars
