Thanks for the feedback. I went back to an old 8mm home movie (converted to DVD) that my dad shot in 1958 for an excursion with 4960, but the camera was only focused towards the tracks, and I couldn’t see enough of the open area to the south of the tracks.
I used to kid my dad about the segment because he ran out of film just as the engine got close to us. I told him that he should not have “wasted” the film to shoot the eastbound freight that came through before the excursion, but now, I would rather look at the ABBA set of F3’s and FT’s than 4960.
