These locomotives were serviced in Aurora, and prior to the days of push pull engines and were turned there also. The push pull trains arrived in 1965..." The above is in a chapter about commuter service. I think this would mean that the commuter trains were push pull in 1965 and the E's used on them were not turned. Thus they would always be heading in the same direction. West, I believe it's been said. I believe the elephant setup for long distance trains started happening about then, also. Ed Edward Sutorik
