On the Burlington and Washington Subdivision, Mount Union was listed as
an open office from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday in the Ottumwa and
Creston Division Employee Timetable 84 effective April 25, 1954.
Crawfordsville Washington and Winfield also shown as having offices open
8:00 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday. Mediapolis was shown having at open
office from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. There is a note in the Employee
Timetable that there was no train order signal at Mediapolis and
Washington and Conductor and Enginemen must have Clearance Form A when
operator on duty. The next issuance I have is Timetable 90 effective
October 27, 1957 and all five stations are shown as having no office.
There is also no reference to the train order signals at any station.
