Very interesting.  I was not aware that any locomotives or waycars had escaped being repainted or renumbered that far into the BN era.   I think we have all seen photos of box cars and other freight equipment that remained in CB&Q colors (Mike Spoor's CB&Q Color Guide) until being donated, sold or scrapped.   I recall seeing and photographing a few CB&Q  and C&S 40' boxcars being scrapped in Chicago in the 80's by Metron Steel along with a friend and fellow CB&Q modeler Rob Manley.

I saw 14151 in Denver in August 1976. It was still painted red and still numbered 14151.
