Hol - I believe the angle of the E5 nose was the same angle as the production E6, which began construction in Nov 1939 and extended until September 1942. The E5s were built during 1940 and 1941 with identical internal and electrical mechanisms to the E6s. Comparing the E6 drawing in MR Cyclopedia- Vol 2 (p. 71) with the E5 drawing in Mainline Modeler, Nov 2003 (p. 25), the angles appear identical. I am building two E5 A-B sets with Proto 2000 E6 models.
