Actually, Gerald, I have brought up the matter of
membership and society up to you via email
correspondence, and (if you look in the
archives), Ted Andersen & I have brought up this
specific subject about 1.5 months ago.

In addition, this is a very weak argument. The
Soo Line HS has considerably fewer members in the
immediate area. I'm not certain they have more
(overall) members. There are "fallen flag" HS
that have steadily increased in membership, and
some that have dwindled, usually in direct
relation to the ability and desire off leadership
to be flexible and to be up to date. And, in
terms of volunteer hours and information, I have
contributed both to the BRHS, often while not
being a member. Were it strictly my time and or
interest, that would be considerably different,
but the Pullman Library is also a non-profit and
must pay bills, I guess no one sees a free ride.
