I think I made the statement a while back, perhaps on another list.
These are new letter sets (as Joe indicates), they are on BNSF
equipment, they were put on there as a direct order from someone in
BNSF who is also a fan, and BNSF superiors liked & approved the
addition when it was brought to their attention, and indicated that
it was great - and it protected the Burlington marks. Metra was not
pleased, but could do nothing about it.
