   Glen,

Looking in WW Baldwins "Corporate History of the CB&Q RR Co." I find it
gets a little confusing.

The Platte County RR Co. built the line from St. Joseph to Savannah Jct.
beginning in 1858 and completing it in 1860.

The Platte County RR Co. built the line from St. Joseph to Winthrop
(East Atchison) under charter authority of the Atchison and St. Joseph
RR Co. beginning in 1858 and completed in 1959

The Platte County RR Co. built the line from Winthrop (East Atchison) to
Weston under charter authority of the Weston and Atchison RR Co.
Beginning in 1858 and completed in 1961.

These roads were operated by the Platte County RR Co.

In 1863 the Platte County RR Co changed its name to Platte Country RR Co.

In 1864 after the Platte Country RR Co defaulted on loans from the
state, Missouri seized the RR and operated it untill 1866 when it was
turned over to the Atchison and St. Joseph RR and the Weston and
Atchison RR.

In 1867 the Atchison and St. Joseph RR merged with the Weston and
Atchison RR and became the Missouri Valley RR Co.

In 1870 the Missouri Valley RR Co. consolidated with the Kansas City,
St. Joseph and Council Bluffs RR Co.

In 1872 the KC, St.J & CB built a line from Amazonia to Savannah Jct
and abandoned the original Platte County RR Co. mainline leaving only
the line from Savannah to Savannah Jct.

In 1900 the KC, St.J & CB was leased to and in 1901 was sold to the CB&Q.
