Rupert...I have a CB&Q Freight Car diagram book from 1930. In that it
shows the FM series as flat cars rather than stock. Stock cars are
listed as "SM." This book has diagrams of FM 6 through FM 11...no FM 9.
Possibly the cars you are looking for are in this book. If you could
send the car numbers I will check and and see if they are there. If so
I will scan and send.
