Hol Wagner replied to my speculation with the facts... while the FW&D
replaced cabooses in worse condition with various Q four window waycars, the
C&S never got any cars from the Q. The FW&D also purchased a number of the
Kansas City Waycar (WWII era double sheathed boxcar conversions) during the
conflict and after the war rebuilt them to rather ungainly looking versions
of the standard C&S / FW&D buggies.
Also the Q did not pool waycars with either road; only motive power.
