John,
I posted a couple photos of the Downers Grove lay over yard this
morning. They were taken around 1940 by my dad. One shows
the engine servicing facility while the other looks west and
shows the upper 5 track yard. Sorry, that my uncle is blocking
part of the view. Hopefully, you will find these of some help in
your modeling effort.
