Just to add a small tag to Leo's reply, the last day the Downers 
yard was used for Suburban Service trains was the same day 
the last steam locomotive was assigned to suburban service in 
September 1952. If you need the exact date, I can go digging. 
After that date, all dinkies originated or terminated at Aurora.

I'd better sign off now. I haven't looked at the list in some time, 
'cuz I am typing elsewhere.
