- OK, I may be about to stirring up the old kettle, but what color best matches the smoke box and fire box? I have seen color photos taken in the 40's and 50's and many of these appear to be a "silver"

- John, I bought a PFM/United 2 truck shay back in the late 60's (new) and do not have any problems with it running through atlas code 100 rail switches with insulated frogs. Have you checked the truck

- Almost, but in comparing the GN and Q, there are some differences in the round window arrangements at the ends. I have seen photos of the SF, but don't remember how the windows line up when comparing
