The October 1951 Official Guide shows train no. 12 leaving Beardstown at 6:45 AM, arriving in Litchfield at 9:00 AM, and arrived at its destination of Herrin at 1:09 PM. It left Herrin as train no. 1

Wow, talk about nostalgia! The fountain pen ink I remember using most was Sheaffer's "Scrip." It had the little pocket inside near the top which held just about the right amount of ink to fill a pen.
