Yes, the DZ was the last fully brand new passenger consist built with the exception of the baggage cars, Argo and Olympus. When the DZ ran in sections (56 equipment) which observation car was used on
After riding Amtrak's CZ from Chicago to Denver, I would have to agree with Ed. I found the cost very high indeed and I had a "roomette". I found the onboard service to be good, I had a great porter,

Ray, For the Empire Builder short domes have you thought about using the Walthers Dome car as the "core kit"? [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] -- Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --~--> Buy
Ray and list, No I haven't used the Walthers as a core kit. I know the underframe details and the interior aren't correct for a dome coach. I was thinking of the roof and dome looking really good. [N

My only complaint with the Athearn Genesis F3's, Highliner/Genesis do not include the open passenger pilot. Now granted that pilot would be against a baggage car but I wish that pilot would be in wit

Yes Broadway did a really fine job on the CZ 10-6's and Baggage cars! Hats off to them. The only thing I found I didn't care for on the cars are the "rivet" detail. But then once a 1/2 or 3/4 inch ri
Gonna add my 2 cents here, Ready to Run? Should say.... Ready to unbuild to rebuild so the model will run! Today in this hobby we have so many new models that are very well done. Brass and plastic. I
Rob, Hahahhahaahha....... Yeah although I do have to say, those pesky little grabs, it's nice when they're already there. In the age of tri focals, it's easier! Yeah the extended Kadees will work on
All, Remember it's not only the Pullmans you can have "fun" with in your CZ consist. Walthers produced a Pullman Standard Coach in the Rio Grande Paint that would work great behind the baggage car. T
The BLI CZ cars are plated. With the ownership letter boards on the car ends, this makes the cars other than the 6-5 Pullmans, makes the cars un prototype for any other of the Burlington Budd cars. T
