Dave,

Gotta put in my 2 cents here, you mean when Diana and you are down "south" I
can't bring down my Panama Limited, which should be finished about the same
time the B&MRR is up and running in it's new location. A touch of the "south"
although I must say a bit more to the east of the IC Mainline! :-) (Dave knows
I'm pulling his leg a bit here)

But really this was a fun weekend. I headed down from Aurora on Friday, met
Dave and went about setting up a couple of trains on the layout. Then it was
time for beans, Diana made a pot o chile that was really good! Then back down
to
run some trains. Then while waiting for Tom and Phil to get in from the Twin
Citites, we looked over the E 5's that Railway Classics are bringing out,
looking at the photos of the phase I E5's that front coupler cover was bolted
on!

Then the Open House, met a great bunch of guys and more than a few brought
their wives along, we had a great session with Dave, Jacob, and the rest of us!

I guess over the few years that the B&MRR has been on operation, I've been
invited down a number of times to run, have been some of the most enjoyable
hours spent running on a layout! Taking a Zephyr up West Burlington Hill after
making a double stop at the Burlington Station, is something that almost brings
a
tear to the eye. I know it's HO scale, but I can tell you this, running on
Dave's layout you really feel like you're at the controls of Silver Pilot with
#1 behind you.

Thanks Dave for letting me be a part of the B&MRR. Memories of the past and
memories to come with the B&MRR in it's new home! Oh and I really like that
idea of the hot tub!

Loren
