All While we are on the subject of La Grange, does anybody have photos of the freight house west of Brainard south of the tracks? Or for that matter the one east of Stone Avenue? I have pretty much sorted out the histories of the West Lyons, Stone Avenue and La Grange Road/Fifth Avenue depot buildings but have found very little on the freight stations . In response to the original questions. Based on track charts and employee timetable special instructions there were two Spurs that crossed in the street. Additionally by the 1950s it was required that the crew shove into the the lumber yard using enough idler cars to avoid putting the loco beyond a specified point for the spur.
