All - Back in the 1930s, did the train crews run through straight from Ottumwa to Galesburg and return, or was Burlington the crew change point either way? - Louis

Peter - Perhaps, someone on this List will have a 1930s time table that they can scan to show Train No. 178's stops between Ottumwa and Galesburg. I would imagine that your great grand dad was its engineer 'tween Burlington and Galesburg and deadheaded back to Monmouth for his off time - Louis
