Bill,

Thanks.

The photo of the white building built into the slope is Westmon/Gregs as confirmed by the Westmont Historical Society when they allowed me to use it at my Westmont presentation for them.

The photo of wagons at the milk cars(real milk cars built for that service) is Lisle as confirmed by BRHS member Charlie Vlk when he allowed me to use it at my Lisle presentation.

Your 1866 list predates one supplied by Charlie that he pulled from the Newberry Library. Charlie's list shows far more stations over three months in the 1880s. I will let him decide whether to share it as he gave me remission to use at my suburban presentations.

Leo,

Thanks very much for the informative article on CB&Q milk runs.  Need to read it more thoroughly when I have more time.  For now, here are a few items that may interest you.  The first is a listing of CB&Q milk shipping sites going back to June 1866.  The other two are photos of milk depots, said to be Lisle and Greggs/Westmont, that I've been trying to date and authenticate.

Bill,

If, after reading the article you still have questions let me know as I have material that didn't make it into the article on the subject of milk on what Burlington employees referred to as the "east end"

Thanks very much for your reply to my request about the Aurora-Chicago milk train.  I'm going to order your Bulletin 51.  FYI: my specific focus is Westmont Station, previously Greggs and originally Bushville, or Bush Station.  Bill Joyce
