Bryan, Since you did such a good job helping Tom with the EL number board, perhaps you could help me as well. The calendar is great, but for me the best was saved for last. January 2021's photo was taken east of the Hollywood station. The building on the right is my grandparent's garage, and the photo was taken 6 months before my family moved into the half of their duplex that was closer to the tracks. A while ago when I relocated a photo that was misidentified as being shot at Hollywood, I made reference to the worn dirt path leading up to the end of the platform, which is in the photo just to the rear of the waycar (a pause here while I taught my computer that waycar is not two words). I am hopeful that if there was enough detail in the hi-res scan to pull the EL number, then the squared off blob coming out of the bushes might actually be the only photographic evidence of my grandfather's hand-built brick grill that was the source of all the hot dogs and hamburgers at the family gatherings of my youth. I am building a module that replicates from the Hollywood station to the back corner of the house's lot - the location of the grill. I'd like to have something to compare to my faded memories. The top of the grill back/chimney had some serious cracks, and set on top for display was a large piece of metal - a piece of a railcar that had flown off and landed on his masterpiece, causing the damage. BTW, my grandfather, Peter Kolf, worked in the traffic department of the Burlington for 25 years less a couple of days, a correction that was provided by the Burlington AFTER he left, thereby voiding his railroad pension. (He then worked another 25 years for USGypsum, earning a pension there). In summary, is it possible and would you please provide a closer look at the area between the train and the garage?
