My experience with Athearn Genesis F unit drives has been very disappointing (and I have a couple of them). Not enough flexibility in the trucks due to the design and the typical Athearn growler motor. I have always felt the better choice is either the Stewart/Kato (now Bowser) drives or the Intermountain drive (most people forget you can just buy the drive for them). The Highliner shell was specifically designed so it would fit on these drive mechanisms. Another advantage of the Stewart frame is that you can get an dummy version of a B unit and just place the Highliner shell on it. Unless you have significant grades, having a 3 or 4 unit F unit set powered is overkill.

Athearn Genesis. They just did a run earlier this year, but some of the options are sold out. I picked up two for a project I am working on and had didn't get all I ordered due to Athearn running out. They did DC/DCC ready and DCC/Sound with multiple underbody colors for both A and B units.

Also, the Highliner bodies are what Athearn uses for their Genesis line and are designed to fit the Athearn chassis.
