Simply as FYI, there were three windmill plants in Batavia; Appleton, Challenge and U.S. Wind. Without going into a catalog search I would venture to say each likely offered a pump to connect to the mill. I do know one made water stands(sometimes called water plugs on the rr) for filling loco tenders.
Leo google shows a company in batavia named U.S. Wind Engine and Pump
there was also on at sheridan. it said Batavia Ill USA on it on one side don’t know about the other.
Bryan,
There is one of these at my childhood home as a yard ornament/planter. Give me a little while to make contact with current owner. There's no doubt these were sources from one supplier on lines east and distribute through the Aurora storehouse.
Leo All,
Does anyone know the manufacturer or model name of the water pump below. This pump was located at Zearing and I am trying to find more information about it for a photo caption.

Thanks!
