Rupert:
Russ Strodtz was a Q fan and a BN/BNSF employee until a major stroke sidelined him. He last worked as a dispatcher in Fort Worth; maybe Steve Holding has contact information. It took Russ several years to almost fully recover from the effects of the
stroke. He was most particularly interested in diesel locomotives and kept a huge database. He was always willing to share both his knowledge and his photos, and I used a number of them in BN Annuals. Unfortunately, his widow make take a different stance
when it comes to sharing.

I have copies of both photos from the Shortlines website but I am unable to obtain permission to reproduce them as Russ Shrodtz, who used to be a member of this list, died last year.

Rupert:
Both the Plymouth and Whitcomb are shown on the National Malleable page of Shortlines of Chicago website.
I lived for 22 years across the street from the main gate of the Grant Works and never took a photo of the buildings or equipment during that period. Guess it was just too familiar. Sad, now it’s all gone.
