I found a second, lost photo of the TR2 from the Calf side and it certainly appears that the cab on the A unit is correct on the Oriental Limited model. The back of the cab appears to have no smaller windows below the larger windows - unlike the NW2 cab. I also see that the Calf had a stepped angle and a flat, whereas the Cow just had a angle to the cab - so questions 1 and 2 appear to be answered. Now just wondering about the all-weather windows. Thank goodness I found that photo in all of my piles of stuff! Rich G.

1. The Cow and Calf had a different slope of the front hood than the NW2. The NW2 is "stepped" (angle and flat) where the TR2 is just angled. Is this correct?
2. I have a front photo of a TR2 and the original A unit has arched windows like an NW2 cab, where the rebuilt B units had square window tops like an SW7. When you compare the back of the cab, however, the NW2 has a second lower set of small windows in the door and below the rear windows. On the OL model, there is a smaller window beneath the door, but not the two small windows below the main windows. Anyone know if this is correct?
3. The production models were delivered in 1949. Was the Q applying the all weather "winter" windows by the winter of 1950?
An interesting side note, Mike Spoor had a engineer's log that showed some instances of a TR2 being used on the "Oregon Turn" around 1950 - 51.
