Noel,
I have full size copies of the erection drawings for the Q S4s and M4s that my dad obtained from the Mechanical Department in the mid 1950s. They are quite large (30 to 40 inches wide by 8 or so feet long) and the original from which the S4 was copied, was not in great shape at the time, but it is certainly legible. I have loaned the M4 drawings out once to Sunset 3Rd Rail and they returned the drawings after use. I am reluctant to loan them out for fear of loss and I do not know where I can get them copied. Some companies that do copy work will not copy documents such as these without authorization from the original owners or creators. I don't have such authority. I do have at least one transmittal letter from a young mechanical engineer named Robert E. Taylor, but I don't recall that it gives any authority for reproduction.
If you have any ideas of how I might transmit a copy to you, I would certainly be will to try. With some set up, it might be possible to digitally photograph them in sections and stitch them together afterwards. Unfortunately, Dad did not requests drawings for the O-5 or any other Q steam power. As for a live steam or electric version of either locomotive in 1:32 scale, I would certainly be interested, but I suspect the cost would be beyond my means! Like others, the Q hudsons were my all time favorite locomotives.

I have the drawing of the O5 from Corbin's book but it is limited for building a 1:32 live version. BTW would there be any interest in a live steam version also electric version of either locomotive in 1:32? PM me at georgecrawfordsr@comcast.net if you are. George N. Crawford aka Noel
